I believe in community care, liberation, growth, joy, resilience, healing, and justice. The trauma we experience can make us feel so disconnected and dissociated while also craving connection and warmth. I am here to invite and support you in exploring connections to yourself, your communities, and the world around you. Through understanding our intersectional identities, we can start to process and unpack the ways we struggle to show up for ourselves and each other. Healing is a process that takes time, authenticity, and gentle care. My experiences and work are shaped by my identities, how I create and sustain joy, and community. I find it incredibly fulfilling to continuously build relationships through empathy, curiosity, and compassion. My areas of focus include trauma, relationships, life transitions, grief, polyamory/non-monogamy, kink/BDSM, and other alternative lifestyles. I am a queer, trans/nonbinary, neurodivergent, 2nd generation Chinese American. My approach is rooted in liberation and relational work through anti-oppressive and social justice lenses. I draw from modalities such as psychodynamics, somatic work, narrative therapy, and mindfulness. Please reach out for a free consultation to see if we would be a good fit.

I am an Asian American therapist with over 10 years of experience working with undergraduate and graduate students, traditional and non-traditional. My aim as a therapist is to offer my clients a space where they can take the time from their otherwise hectic schedules to pause and be curious about their feelings, behaviors, and reactions. Often we can feel like we are moving from one task to another and before long, we lose touch with why we started on the path we are on in the first place. In therapy, one can reconnect with the parts of themselves needed to feel balanced and thrive. I also strongly believe that the relationship between therapist and client is key for one to be able to explore, reflect, and ultimately heal. As such, I prioritize in creating a safe, supportive space where we may work together to better understand your unique experiences.
Do you feel like you’re stuck in a loop of thoughts and actions that are hard to stop? Life can feel overwhelming when your mind won’t stop racing or when anxious thoughts and doubts take over. As a therapist with over 18 years of experience, I specialize in working with adults who feel stuck in cycles of worry, fear, or perfectionism. If you’re struggling with anxiety, Obsessive-Compulsive Disorder (OCD), or self-confidence issues, I’m here to help you find clarity, calm, and greater confidence. We'll work together to gain tools to relieve stress, develop personalized self-care practices that fit into your busy schedule, build trust in yourself, and feel less anxious and more in control of your life. I use Inference-Based Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (I-CBT), an approach designed to help you better understand and change the thinking patterns that contribute to OCD. Our sessions can help you replace that inner critic with a kinder, more self-compassionate voice that recognizes your worth beyond achievements. I provide a warm and compassionate space where we’ll work together to understand your experiences and tackle challenges. As a board-certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner at HOClinical, I work best with students who are high-achieving, driven, and carrying more than they let people see. Many of the students I support are balancing academics, work, family expectations, and relationships — while quietly dealing with anxiety, low mood, burnout, ADHD, sleep problems, or feeling overwhelmed. Some are struggling to focus. Others feel stuck, unmotivated, or not like themselves anymore. Many say, “I should be able to handle this,” but feel exhausted trying. If you’re a student who wants practical tools, clear guidance, and a provider who truly listens without judgment, we’re likely a good fit. I offer a supportive, down-to-earth approach that combines thoughtful medication management (when appropriate) with real strategies you can use right away to feel better, think clearly, and perform at your best. You don’t have to wait until you’re in crisis to get support. If you’re ready to feel more balanced, focused, and in control again, HOClinical is here to help.
The foundation of my approach is psychodynamic but I also believe in a holistic approach to treatment that involves borrowing elements from cognitive therapy, strength based therapy, and mindfulness. In our work together I will often ask you to draw from past experiences to inform the present. I believe that we are the product of our experiences and that if we can make sense of how our past has shaped us, we can become better at identifying emotional soft spots and managing our thoughts and feelings when they become overwhelming or confusing. I believe in bringing laughter to therapy -- therapy should provide just as much space to process joy as it does to process stress and sadness. I work well with people who have a sense of humor, who are curious about themselves and others, and who are looking for honesty and directness when it's appropriate. Our sessions together will not feel like the stereotypical image of therapy you might have in mind: you draped across an ottoman, and me simply listening nearby. The goal is that our sessions be conversational and collaborative.
I am a licensed clinical social worker providing trauma-informed counseling rooted in queer liberation and trans joy. I apply my training in EMDR, embodiment, and somatics, as well as my own experience in a queer body, to support people in generating the autonomy and empowerment necessary to navigate significant life transitions with choice. I would be happy to talk with you about how we can work together to support you in feeling grounded, calm, and secure, about building your access to joy, supporting your commitment to activism, and navigating the ongoing stressors of the world at this time.
Does the thought of relaxing stress you out and make you feel guilty for wanting to do so? Do you spend your free time thinking about how you need to get more done? Does it feel like your responsibilities between school and personal life feel never ending? I know asking for help can feel like you’ve “failed” at life, but you realize nothing is working and it’s time to see some change. You don’t know how you can adapt to all these changes. My name is Collette, and I help anxious high achievers channel their natural problem solving skills and strengths so that you can make more confident decisions, stop feeling bad for putting you first and start spending more time on the things that matter most to you. If you’re ready to stop placing your worth on what you can do for others and start enjoying a more fulfilled life, reach out today and see if I am the right fit for you. During our free 15 minute chat, we discuss what’s been going on to see how I can best help you and we talk next steps.

I help young adults navigating depression, bipolar disorder, and intergenerational trauma feel more grounded through medication and person-centered care. If you're in your 20s, trying to figure out who you are and how you're supposed to live, you're not alone. Maybe you're overwhelmed by constant decisions about your career, your relationships, or your future. You might feel pressure to have it all together while quietly wondering why everything feels so hard. I work with people navigating identity, stress, and mood shifts, including persistent depressive disorder and bipolar disorder, especially those carrying intergenerational trauma, cultural expectations, or the weight of being the first in their family to pursue something different. I know how heavy it can feel to carry things that didn't start with you, especially if you're part of an immigrant family. I'm passionate about consulting and treating intergenerational trauma, and I've found it powerful to offer both validation and education throughout the healing journey. Therapy with me isn't about judgment or quick fixes; it's about creating space to understand what shaped you and figuring out what you want to carry forward. Whether we're talking about depression, bipolar disorder, or feeling like you've lost touch with yourself, I'll meet you where you are. We'll move at your pace, ask questions that help you reconnect with your values, and make space for your story on your terms. Outside of work, I guard my sleep, feed myself warm meals, and stay close to people who feel like home. I know that longevity comes from the small things we choose every day. I'm passionate about helping people, especially young adults, protect their energy, reconnect with their values, and feel more grounded in who they are. If you're feeling disconnected, unsure, or just plain tired, therapy can help. You don't have to figure it all out before getting support.
I support adults navigating anxiety, perfectionism, people-pleasing, and periods of transition that may leave them feeling disconnected or unsure of their next steps. While I have a particular passion for supporting women of color, I work with clients from a variety of backgrounds who are looking to build confidence, strengthen boundaries, and create a greater sense of belonging and connection in their lives. Together, we'll help you reconnect with yourself, your values, and the relationships that matter most. I work with clients experiencing loneliness, social disconnection, or uncertainty during periods of transition. Whether you're navigating changes in relationships, adjusting to a new stage of life, or hoping to build deeper connections, we can work together to cultivate a stronger sense of belonging and create a life that feels more balanced and fulfilling. Prior to private practice, I worked with youth and families in the foster care system, an experience that deepened my appreciation for resilience, community, and the importance of supportive relationships. My therapeutic style is warm, collaborative, and client-centered. I specialize in supporting women of color navigating anxiety, perfectionism, people-pleasing, and life transitions that leave them feeling disconnected from themselves, others, or their sense of direction. I strive to create a supportive, nonjudgmental space where clients feel seen, understood, and empowered to explore their experiences with curiosity rather than criticism. I primarily draw from cognitive behavioral approaches while tailoring treatment to each client's unique experiences, values, and goals. Together, we will identify patterns that may be contributing to emotional distress, challenge ways of thinking that no longer serve you, and develop practical strategies that support meaningful, lasting change. My goal is to help clients build confidence, establish healthier boundaries, and move through life with greater clarity, self-trust, and intention.
I create a comfortable, nonjudgmental space with a conversational style and room for humor when it feels right. My goal is to foster a safe, supportive relationship where you feel empowered to explore, grow, and create meaningful change.
I work with adolescents, young adults, and women navigating anxiety, trauma and PTSD, grief and loss, and significant life transitions. My therapeutic style is client-centered, supportive, and encouraging, while also direct and honest. Therapy begins with taking the time to get to know you and understand your experiences, concerns, strengths, and hopes for the future. Together, we will identify clear, realistic goals and develop a personalized treatment plan that reflects your individual needs. I will listen with compassion and without judgment, while also helping you recognize patterns, confront challenges, and explore difficult topics when needed. I will listen without judgment while helping you examine difficult experiences, patterns, or choices that may be holding you back. When a tough conversation is needed, I will approach it with honesty, compassion, and respect. I believe that therapy is a space to tell your unique story, where your lived experience will be received, honored, and validated without judgment. By diving into that story together, I can help guide you in understanding yourself and charting a course for future growth. As we walk this path together, we will work toward self-acceptance, empowerment, and joy. I support clients through a variety of challenges, such as exploring identity, navigating transitions, strengthening relationships, processing trauma, and coping with stress. As a queer, gender non-binary therapist, I am particularly passionate about providing sexuality- and gender-affirming therapy to queer and trans clients of all ages. I prioritize queer joy and gender euphoria in the therapeutic space, and strive to create a safe haven for clients to explore their identities beyond heteronormative sexuality and binary gender. My therapeutic approach is tailored to the individual client, and incorporates a variety of techniques and approaches including cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), psychodynamic therapy, and anti-oppressive practice. My therapeutic style is goal-oriented and client-centered, and I prioritize collaboratively constructing a set of goals to bring intentionality to my work with clients. I strive to bring warmth, empathy, and patience to my work, and I encourage clients to identify and leverage their unique strengths and capabilities. My practice is informed by queer theory and critical race theory, and I strive to help clients explore how their lives have been influenced by social structures of oppression and inequality. In my free time, I love spending quality time with family and friends and finding new favorite spots to eat in my neighborhood. On the weekends, you can find me exploring Astoria Park and fawning over every dog I meet.
