Kelsey is a master of social work who works primarily with young adults experiencing life changes, relationships issues, grief, trauma, and depression and anxiety. She has a particular passion for helping people improve their self-understanding to strengthen platonic and romantic relationships, increase self-compassion, and to identify personal values and learn to live by them. Kelsey incorporates elements of Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and Dialectical Behavioral Therapy, but makes sure to tailor her sessions to the individual first and foremost. Before becoming a therapist, Kelsey had a career in advertising and marketing working for consumer brands and tech companies. Having experienced these worlds first-hand, Kelsey is uniquely equipped to understand and empathize with many of the challenges her clients face day-to-day — things like burnout, navigating office dynamics, and the identity struggle that comes with learning who you are as an adult while maintaining a demanding career. Kelsey seeks to create a safe and welcoming experience for her clients. She knows how to address immediate stressors and concerns, while keeping long-term healing goals at the forefront. She is welcoming of people of all identities and backgrounds, inclusive of the LGBTQIA+ community.
"Out beyond ideas of wrongdoing and rightdoing, there is a field. I'll meet you there." ~Rumi
I am a compassionate, thoughtful, experienced psychologist, and I am very interested in getting to know you and your struggles. I work with individuals and couples, from late adolescence to older adulthood. My work is collaborative and starts by creating a non-judgmental space in which you can feel comfortable sharing your symptoms and exploring your past, present and future. We will work together to help you understand and negotiate the external and internal obstacles preventing you from achieving greater contentment in your life. I use evidence-based approaches, such as CBT, DBT, and ACT, to help clients reduce anxiety and depression, better cope with stress, and improve their self-esteem and relationships. I also utilize attachment and psychodynamic theories to help clients construct a meaningful narrative of their history, help identify harmful patterns in thinking, behavior and relationships, and help clients liberate from them. I specialize in both short-term and long-term psychotherapy aimed at increasing self-awareness and identifying patterns that contribute to mood symptoms and difficulties at work or in relationships. I look forward to speaking with you about the challenges you are currently facing so that we can establish a plan to help you overcome them and lead a more satisfying and fulfilling life. I look forward to learning about you and partnering with you through psychotherapy to help you reduce stress and find greater satisfaction with your life.
While you are uniquely special, your struggles are more common than you think. We all have challenges, and often in very universal ways. It’s all part of the human experience. Psychotherapy is a great way to help guide you through life’s trials and tribulations. It can be profoundly healing to have a safe space in which to be affirmed and productively challenged. Together we can explore issues related to ambivalence, shame, resilience, boundaries, connection, confidence, and self-development in order to help you fully show up in your life. I have worked with individuals experiencing depression, unhealthy relationship dynamics, life transitions, substance abuse, and trauma, as well as with the LGBTQ+ community. I also utilize a variety of evidence-based methods such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Motivational Interviewing, and Person-Centered Therapy. I base my practice around the use of empathy and empowerment. My style is warm and down-to-earth, while also naming things in order to illuminate insight and draw meaning. The key will be for me to support you in your own self-determination. Wherever you are today on your life’s path, I want to help promote positive change and growth.
I love the privilege of working with creative, insightful individuals looking to better understand themselves. Based on what you find useful, we’ll incorporate existential, artistic, spiritual, and humanistic approaches. From me, you can expect warmth, investment, and- where appropriate- humor to support increased perspective. This highly personalized process is one of the best efforts any of us can make for our health. Experienced in treating ADHD, PTSD, bipolar disorder, depression disorders (MDD, PDD), and generalized anxiety. Healing is nonlinear, therapy is best when it’s unrushed, and it’s really important that it happens at your own pace. I am a final-year clinical student at Columbia, focusing on treatment for young adults and adolescents, and did my BA at Yale. "It was what I was born for—to look, to listen, to lose myself inside this soft world." —Mary Oliver, "Mindful"
I work best with individuals who may feel overwhelmed, anxious, or unsure of themselves as they juggle school, relationships, and big life decisions. You might be dealing with stress, burnout, low mood, or feeling stuck in patterns that are hard to change. Some students I work with are figuring out identity, boundaries, or how to manage emotions in a healthier way. In our work, you don’t have to have everything figured out. Therapy is a space to be real, talk things through, and feel supported without judgment. Together, we’ll make sense of what’s going on and find practical, meaningful ways to help you feel more steady, confident, and in control.

We assess each client's environment, family, biological factors, and experiences from childhood to the present day. We consider a strong therapeutic relationship to be the highest indicator of progress in therapy. Being able to be open with one another enhances the therapy process. Without a strong rapport between therapist and client, safety doesn't exist, and barriers to positive change exist. After gathering history and establishing rapport, we then tailor treatment to each client’s unique needs. We provide EMDR (trauma therapy) as well as regular talk psychotherapy.
Hi there! Have you ever felt like your thoughts are racing but the words just won't come out? Have you ever felt the anxiety of overthinking and overanalyzing? Or that despite knowing what you “should” do, making changes feels overwhelming? Perhaps you're navigating the complexities of interpersonal relationships, cultural identity, family expectations, or that persistent feeling that no one quite understands your experience. I want you to know that these feelings are deeply valid, and you're not alone in this journey. Taking this first step toward healing shows incredible courage, and thank you for considering sharing your story with me. I'm Toni, a first-year Master's student in Social Work at Columbia University, building upon my foundation in my bachelor’s degree in Applied Psychology from NYU. I believe in creating a genuine and supportive environment where you can feel comfortable being yourself. My approach combines warmth and gentle humor with practical strategies, creating a space where both healing and growth can flourish. While my foundation combines client-centered therapy with CBT and an existential approach, I believe in adapting therapeutic approaches to what works best for you. Rather than following a one-size-fits-all approach, I draw from various modalities to create a personalized therapeutic experience that aligns with your needs and goals. Together, we'll work on transforming overwhelming thoughts into manageable steps, building confidence in your decisions, and helping you feel more grounded in who you are. As a 1.5 generation Asian American therapist-in-training, I bring both professional training and personal understanding to our sessions, especially when it comes to navigating cultural expectations, family dynamics, and the unique pressures of straddling multiple identities. I create a trauma-informed, culturally affirming space where you can explore these experiences openly and draw strength from your heritage. Your story matters, and I'm here to listen with empathy, understanding, and zero judgment. Let's collaborate on your journey toward healing and self-discovery, celebrating each step forward while honoring your unique experiences and strengths.
