Reaching out for help can feel overwhelming. How do you know which counselor to choose? How do you know if it’s a good fit? What do all those letters after everyone’s names mean? And what will your friends or family think if they know you’re in counseling? There can be a lot of confusion and stigma around mental health, and I’d love to help make the process feel a little less intimidating.

I especially enjoy working with college students and young adults navigating a time of enormous change. You may be figuring out who you are, who you love, what you want from your life, or how to manage expectations that seem to be coming from every direction. This is also a time when anxiety, depression, trauma-related symptoms, substance use, and other mental health concerns can become difficult to manage on your own.

I have extensive experience supporting people through depression, suicidal thoughts, trauma, anxiety, and periods of crisis. I also work with people concerned about their use of alcohol or other substances. I take a nonjudgmental, harm-reduction approach focused on understanding how you learned to cope, finding strategies that work for you, and building a life that feels more manageable and rewarding.

You don’t need to know exactly what’s wrong or what you want from therapy before reaching out. I offer free 15-minute phone consultations so we can talk about what you’re looking for and whether I might be a good fit. Let’s get connected and start figuring out where you want to go from here.
